I would definitely need something easy to work with. Is it as easy as that? Also, if I go with something besides EZdrummer I guess I have to get a DAW? Then that's something else I would have to look at. I think Yamaha has a whole reference manual just for this and I didn't want to get involved with that, but if it is as easy as just hitting the pad and assigning it, I'm open to giving it another try. Now, in the other thread someone said mapping is easy, just hit the pad I want to map in the midi section of the module and I should be OK. I was told I had to map it and that's when I said OK, I'm done with this. Then I hit the hi hat and it sounded like a tom tom. Alternatively, double-click the field and type a number between 0 and 16 (0 Omni). This can be changed to a specific channel using the MIDI Channel drop-down menu. By default, BFD3 responds in Omni mode - in other words, on any MIDI channel.

I figured from what I read an audio interface would help with that. Key Map assignments can be created on any MIDI channel. That helped a lot, but there was still a noticeable delay to me. I was advised to reduce my buffer, which I did and also downloaded an Asio driver. OK, this is going back a couple of months now and I haven't touched it, but I downloaded EZdrummer. It started getting off topic so I posted here.

, that after all the learning and tweaking I did just getting my A to E conversion playable and enjoyable I didn't want to get involved with VST's. I actually started this thread because I mentioned in the Pearl Mimic thread,

In the meantime, page 60 of the manual is helpful.Hey, thanks for that information, I didn't even know how to get to that section of the module until I looked at that page. What are you trying to achieve? That'll make it easier to phrase an answer.
